My name is Drew Messing and I am a 17-year-old senior at The Gregory School. I came up with the idea for COVID Clean after my grandmother told me that she would only order takeout food if she knew that the people cooking and handling it were wearing masks and gloves. I thought that in a time of struggle for the restaurant industry, restaurants who are taking serious COVID-19 precautions should be promoted. I think that COVID Clean is a win-win-win scenario: restaurants can increase their revenue, consumers can resume ordering from their favorite restaurants, and out-of-work restaurant employees can receive free meals.
